Technical Information
The past 50 years have seen a rapid increase in the use of concrete pressure pipe. Development in concrete pressure pipe design, manufacturing and applications have been influenced by the needs and philosophies of users, as well as the ingenuity and resourcefulness of the pipe manufacturers.
Since the initial manufacture of concrete pressure pipe, significant technological advances have been made in design, materials, production and installation processes. New types of concrete pressure pipe have been introduced and the older types are continually being improved through research and development activities of the industry and routine updating of standards through the American Water Works Association.
The American Concrete Pressure Pipe Association has produced a series of Technical Information Papers (TIPS), which can be downloaded for your use.
